Splitting Kegs and Canned Beer
BarSight Brewery Inventory Management software is designed specifically for breweries and offers a variety of features to help manage your brewery's production, inventory, sales, and distribution processes. One of the awesome features of the software is its ability to split products, such as a full keg or a full case of canned beer, into smaller quantities like half or quarter kegs or individual cans. This feature can save you time and money by improving accuracy, providing better visibility into your inventory levels, and enabling you to track costs and streamline your brewery production process.
In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps required to split products using BarSight Brewery Inventory Management software.
Here are the steps required to split products using BarSight Brewery Inventory Management software:

Open the software and navigate to the product that you want to split in the Final Products page.

Click on the "Split" button to open the split product dialog box.

Choose how many products you are consuming to make the new product. For our example,we are using 1 full keg to make 2 half kegs, so enter 1.
- Choose what items are going back into inventory (such as the full keg shells), and leave the other consumables unchecked.
- Click 'Save' to goto the next page to start defining the new products you will be creating.
- This page is very similar to our normal Package Batch page, just define the new package groups you are creating. In this case, select 2 half kegs.
- When you are all done, click the Package Items to create the inventory in your database.
BarSight Brewery Inventory Management software will automatically adjust your inventory levels for the original product and the split products, so you can track your inventory in real-time.
